Whale Alerts FAQ

Respostas rápidas para as perguntas mais comuns sobre este ranking — cobrindo fontes de dados, metodologia, taxas e como usar as métricas mostradas acima.

What is a whale transaction?

Any on-chain transfer above a meaningful USD threshold — typically $1M for Bitcoin and $500K for Ethereum. These are usually exchange deposits/withdrawals, OTC settlements, or wallet reorganizations by large holders ('whales').

Why should I watch whale transactions?

Large transfers to exchanges historically precede selling pressure (whales rarely deposit to buy). Large withdrawals from exchanges suggest accumulation and intent to hold. Watching the flow gives early signal — sometimes hours before retail-visible price moves.

Where does this data come from?

Bitcoin transactions are read directly from public blockchain explorers — we monitor recent blocks and surface transactions whose USD value exceeds the whale threshold. Ethereum data comes from public RPC proxies. No third-party paid feeds.

How fresh is the feed?

We refresh every 90 seconds and only show transactions from the last few blocks. Bitcoin blocks confirm every ~10 minutes, Ethereum every ~12 seconds, so the feed reflects very recent on-chain activity.
