ATH (All-Time High)
The highest price an asset has ever reached on a major exchange.
All-Time High (ATH) is the highest USD price a cryptocurrency has ever traded at on a credible venue. ATH is reset only when the asset breaks above its previous record on sufficient volume — short illiquid wicks usually don't count.
Traders use ATH as a long-term reference point. When an asset trades 50% below its ATH, it's said to be in a 'drawdown'. Recovering ATH after a major correction is often considered a strong bullish confirmation.
