Token Burn

Permanent removal of tokens from circulation.

Tokens are burned by sending them to an unspendable address (or invoking a `burn()` contract function). Burns reduce supply and are usually framed as deflationary mechanics. EIP-1559 on Ethereum burns a portion of every transaction fee.
